Yummy seeds

My wife has these flowers surrounded by netting. It's very fine black synthetic stuff that is almost invisible.
Yesterday one of these little chaps got horribly tangled in this netting and I happened to notice the frantic efforts to try to escape so went to rescue him/her. So tiny and delicate I could feel the heart beating in my hand as I snipped away the threads to release him.  He gave me what he no doubt considered a jolly good pecking which I saw him doing or I may not have noticed. When it was all clear I held him up on my open palm and  he departed .
Today this one bird was quite comfortable with me standing just a few metres away. The others left but not this one. Makes me wonder......
