On top of the world ....

.... well, the top of Europe to be more exact. Blip taken from the highest point of the Aiguille du-Midi looking out over the Mont Blanc range at around 9am. The cable car ride up was almost as amazing as the 360 degree panoramic view from here. Slack-jawed amazement was cut short as Leyla started to feel light headed and a bit nauseous - at 3842m she probably had a touch of altitude sickness.

We took the cable car back down to Plan de l'Aiguille and took a balcony route along to the Mer de Glace, stopping frequently for haribo and pitiful attempts to name the many and varied pretty alpine plants along the route. Bonza!
