Arrivederci Roma

We splashed out on a taxi from our hotel to the airport. It was a lot easier than taking the train which is what we did on the way there. After the usual queuing and shuffling from pillar to post we eventually boarded and took off around 50 minutes late after scrambles to get luggage into overhead lockers (why do they never have enough space? ).
The flight home was ok and we then had a bus ride to the car park and eventually arrived home at about 4.30pm.
After a quick unpack and change of clothes we came down to my parents for dinner. Mum cooked roast beef and a lovely blackberry and apple pudding. I’ll be quite glad to get into my own bed tonight.
