Reasabaidh ùr
I tried making a new dish today - a Halloumi Pasta Bake with butternut squash which not felt rather seasonal but as was also rather tasty (if I so myself). I also enjoyed the feeling of doing something new / creative.
In addition I also made some roasted red pepper soup and cheese scones for lunch tomorrow as we are expected guests.
This morning we headed back to Birnam for two very different events. The first was Margaret Bennett taking us through a selection of street songs - it was highly participative with everyone joining in and great fun. It started very memorable with the audience singing "Happy Birthday" to her as today was her 78th birthday. A special moment. This was followed by Ambrose Parry talking to themselves, that is to say Christopher Brookmyre in conversation with Marisa Haetzman about how they started writing together after 25 plus years of marriage. Really interesting. We both realised afterwards that we hadn't actually read their latest book which came out last year. I daresay that will be rectified shortly.
Rinn mi reasabaidh ùr. Bha i blasta - 's toil leam "pasta bake". Nuair a rinn mi e, dh'èisteach mi ris "Fad Botal Fìon. 'S e pod-chraoladh a th'ann. Bha e eibhinn. Dh'ionnsach mi facal ùr - sgaraidhean.
