Tales of the departed

We joined a group at the graveyard in Biggar and were treated to accounts of some of the most worthy characters of the town. We were introduced to self-taught architects, hairdressers, political activists, bakers, bank managers, circus pero, suffragettes, Broadway stars …. Fascinating way to do local history.
