Cycling

We met up with our friends Steve & Julia at Sirhowy Valley Country Park near Risca (Newport) South Wales UK to do a cycle ride along Route 47 which went to Blackwood, Ystrad Mynach, Hengoed and at Trelewis we turned to cycle back. We stopped at Nelson (Coliers Adventure Farm) to enjoy a coffee in the glorious sunshine.

Knowing the area, at Blackwood we cycled along the old trackway to Mynydd Y Grug where I stopped to take a photo' of the dead tree with the sun shining through it and an empty bottle on the dry stone wall alongside

We then cycled down a forestry path for a few miles to Cwmfelinfach and back to our car; a total of 26 miles.
