Male bearded reedling

Yesterday on the spur of the moment we went up to stay near 
Leighton Moss with the intention of getting up early to see whether the Bearded reedlings were still about. It's rather late in October to see them and they were very elusive but we did see three! They showed up for about 10 minutes and that was it. After and hour and a half it was so cold we called it a day but stayed around for a couple more hours in the hides.
