Acts of deliberate notice

Autumn fair

This morning I went out to the Autumn fayre at a nearby nature reserve. The name was optimistic (a total of four stalls and a police representative) but it was my first time there and it is absolutely beautiful. The warm Autumn sunshine couldn't have been more perfect. I ended up spending a couple of hours walking around the reserve and saw a lot of lovely birds:
Jay, kingfisher, female wigeon, sleepy pochards, tufted ducks, cormorants, lapwings, Egyptian geese, greylag geese, Canada geese, swans, a little grebe, great crested grebes, gulls numerous and ever-present mallards.

Home early afternoon, did some odd jobs and language practice, now time to make dinner and - much more exciting - pumpkin pie!
