Sunny Sunday
I was glad of the extra hour in bed this morning after the clocks went back to GMT. At church, I watched the acolytes at the altar very carefully, as this was my last chance to study all the “choreography” before my first experience of actually doing it myself next Sunday. The beautiful flower arrangement in my blip was on top of the font at the back of the church, and was nicely lit under some spotlights. It may have been from a funeral at the church during the week - with cremations there’s no grave to place floral tributes over after the service. We certainly put all of Mum’s flowers round the font after her funeral, so that everyone could see them during the following week.
After the post-service coffee, my friend Alison came back home with me to witness myself and my niece signing some legal papers. This is to do with closing down my late parents’ trusts and me taking on sole ownership of the bungalow. Let’s hope that, at long last, our family can put the seemingly endless correspondence with various solicitors behind us.
Signing and witnessing done, Alison and I then walked up to The Exchange for some lunch. I haven’t done much else since getting home after that, but Sunday afternoons are for relaxing aren’t they? :-)
