Flash floods

Travelled up to Nottingham this afternoon through heavy rain and thunder storms. Made it to my hotel and was about to set out to meet two of my old friends for dinner only to find that the road had turned into a river . Not great when you've left your wellies at home and you're wearing white linen trousers and sandals. Still, I found a way and had a lovely evening catching up on all their news.
