Frustration!
We travelled over an hour to the away match. I waited a couple of hours for the doubles and got a little chilled but soon warmed up once we got playing. It was a rubber we needed to win to win the overall match. We started off well winning 6-1 in the first set, but they got the measure of us in the second set and won that 6-1. It was down to the super tiebreak once again. We were losing 7-1 but recovered to 10-9 and match point only to lose eventually 11-9.. That meant that the overall match was drawn but we will progress in the tournament but not necessarily as the first in our group. The opposition were friendly and we had a convivial time afterwards but the lunch provided was just a bit of bread, cheese and ham, nothing like the full sit-down meal we offer to visiting teams unfortunately.
