Fruit store for wildlife

This afternoon we visited  our local little wildlife area, and  were pleased at  how it was looking. The memorial crab apple tree is still full of fruit; presumably the birds and  little mice and voles have had plenty of other wild fruits, nuts, and berries to eat, and are leaving these until later.
