Sunburst!

We left the apartment just before 10am, and set off on our journey home. It was going to be another hot sunny day in Chattanooga, but we knew at home, the temperatures had dropped, and there was the possibility for some rain showers. We had a good journey, enjoying the colourful trees along the way, but sure enough, as we got into Kentucky, the clouds moved in, and we did catch the tail end of some rain showers passing through. By the time we reached home, the rain had stopped but it was still cloudy, but then, as I went back out to the car to bring some more things in, there was this short-lived sunburst, illuminating the trees across the road, in sharp contrast to the dark grey clouds moving out in the background. It didn’t last long, but fortunately I had my phone on me, and I just had time to catch the moment!
