Early flowering...

...winter jasmine. The winter jasmine in the back garden is developing flower buds but this one, elsewhere in the village, is already in full flower. Spotted it on my very short trip out this afternoon to the local Co-op, to buy milk and a couple of other essentials.

Feeling a bit better today, though still lethargic. MrM is sneezing and coughing but assures me that he feels fine, and has spent much of the day in his workshop.

Yesterday MrM thought he'd seen some mouse poo in the kitchen. This evening I went in there to make some tea, and saw the culprit, a brown mouse! MrM and I spent the next 20 minutes attempting to catch said mouse until it disappeared through a minute gap between the plinth and the bottom of the kitchen units. Humane mouse traps on tomorrow's shopping list!
