A close escape.
What a day.. luckily its turned out so much better than it could have been.
Fletch woke up and strolled onto the landing . Still half asleep he decided to twist round to scratch his back. He was too close to the edge and before I could reach him he rolled backwards, and down on to our steep stairs .. bump bump, bump he rolled/ bounced all the way down while I screamed in horror.
Somehow he managed to land flat on his stomach and miraculously was unhurt although very shaken ( He wasnt the only one!)
Of course at first, we werent sure if he was injured. He lay there looked a bit shocked but I gave him a good check and he wasnt in pain. I left it some time before offering him his breakfast which he happily scoffed so we worked on the theory that if he was hungry he was ok.
But we made sure he only had a short leisurely walk.
This dog has most definitely got 9 lives.. and working his way through them.
