Ships that pass in the . . . . daytime

A rather grey day today, but we went down to the pier for our usual Saturday fish, then had a quick visit to the library. 
 
Before going home we drove along the coast to Ganavan, Oban's beach, thinking we could buy coffee from Dougie Dan's burger van, but it was closed, so we sat in the car for a while watching the dog walkers, paddlers and swimmers. We might have gone for a walk, but I’ve done something to my foot and it’s too sore to walk.
 
A few ships were going about their business in the grey weather - a fish farm vessel, the Lismore ferry Loch Striven and a long, grey vessel with the number A530. My Blip today is of this ship and Loch Striven passing each other. Before we left the sky had cleared and the weak sun came out and the sky brightened up - my extra today.
 
When we got home I checked and found that this is a Norwegian Navy ship She’s officially known as HNoMS Maud, named after the Queen of Norway. She’s a ‘replenishment oiler’ among other things and also has a 48 bed hospital. What she was doing sailing down Loch Linnhe and up the Sound of Mull I have no idea! Maybe we’re being invaded!
