The birds are back!!

There have been very few birds in the garden during the last 3 very hot days. Only a pair of wood pigeons and a pair of collared doves stayed the course.

Last night we had a very heavy downpour of rain for 30mins and then this morning thunderstorms from 5.15 until 9.00. The garden looks better for it, but it's still warm and humid.

A group of our regular visitors appeared back to feed. The juvenile starlings are developing their adult plumage.

A great tit on the peanut feeder, haven't seen one for weeks.

It was book club meeting this afternoon and these are the books I returned.

This evening there was great excitement on the TV as Kate & William left hospital with their new baby boy.

The new prince (name to be determined) managed a first royal wave to the public!!
