Swan lake

It was a lovely sunny day so I  took my mum to her local park  for lunch and a little wander.  Within a few minutes of our arrival  I saw several flying cormorants, a flying heron and a group of swans skimming across the lake.  I wasn't quick enough though to capture any of it  and only had a wide angle on my compact. After lunch though I took some shots of the swans many of whom were grouped together in one corner of a rather large lake. I've never seen so many before . It was great to sit outside for lunch in October.
