Pope pad

We’ve been proper tourists today. Starting with the Colosseum. Which is amazing, on every level ( pardon the pun ), the scale, the history all incredible.

We left the Colossians hopped on our hop on hop off bus for a few stops and then ventured into the Vatican.

Those who know me will know my thoughts on religion but I’m really glad we went. An incredible experience from the tour touts play arguing when we booked ( we got a discount ), to Giovanni the tour guide telling people off in the Sistine chapel for taking photos. The guide gave us a lot of info, mainly how Rome and Italy are responsible for Christianity, science, art, language, in fact everything and a detailed explanation of the backstory of how Rome and the Vatican are linked. Fascinating stuff.

Out for another great meal, not quite as amazing as last night but still very good.
