Bird's nest- fragility of life

All summer this bird’s nest has lain on the window ledge in my studio.
I found it early one summer morning lying on our garden path, underneath a tree where I suspect a predator, maybe our resident sparrowhawk or magpie, had attacked it ousting its young occupants.
It’ a miniature work of art, a carefully constructed nest made from feathers, grass and dried leaves.
One day I knew I would find a use for it. And today on a wet dreich afternoon I did- a photo for Bipfoto.
