Acid Klaus

I first came across Adrian Flanagan as part of the electronic duo The Eccentronic Research Council, who are occasionally joined on stage by Maxine Peake. Later, I also bought work by him under the names of The Moonlandingz and International Teachers Of Pop.

Tonight, he was playing as Acid Klaus at Islington Mill. For this venture, he was joined by a drummer and two vocalists. I'd not heard any of the music from this project, so I came along just out of interest, really.

Firstly, I must just say what a great job the sound engineer did. The gig space at Islington Mill, which I hadn't been to before, is lovely but, I think, probably a bit of a nightmare acoustically. However, she dealt with it admirably; the sound was excellent.

As for Acid Klaus... that was a very pleasant surprise. The Minx and I both enjoyed the gig immensely, as did our uninhibited friend Simon, who spent the second half of the gig dancing energetically down the front :-)
