Misty morning

Up early to take the hound for a walk before breakfast.  Despite the mist it was remarkably warm.

Returned to Cambridge this morning.  We were packed and off at ten minutes to ten, ten minutes before kicking out time.

A lot of fog inland.  I do love fog though Mr isn't keen.

Back home just before 1pm was all systems go.  Open all windows, unpack necessary items, quick lunch, swift tidy up, dust and vacuum.  Someone coming to view at 3.30pm.

The viewer Duncan had lived at the other end of the road in the past.  He and his wife were keen to return.  He seemed interested, unlike previous viewer and wanted his wife to see it.
Fingers crossed.

Now I'm going to chill after having a shower.  Interesting that the neighbourhood WhatsApp group were mentioning a drop in water pressure.  Noticeable stronger water pressure in Sheringham.  Could the increase in water demand by all the home building also be diminishing water pressure .  .  .

Cambridge is a water-stressed area.  Water emanates from a chalk aquifer and because of climate change and the huge demand on supply by development water levels are dangerously low.

Even the councillors who have supported the mammoth growth in development have finally acknowledged the water depletion when another massive development was given planning permission.  But the new government believes the issue will be resolved as building wouldn't begin in the immediate future.  A reservoir is due but will take a decade to complete.   They must be expecting a miracle.

You might also have read about a roundabout in the city with 36 traffic lights now dubbed the birthday cake roundabout.

Just a few of the issues that make leaving preferable.

Pleasant evening everyone.
