Poppy Appeal Time

I ordered a wreath to lay at Gloucester War memorial on Remembrance Sunday, or I may leave it until the Monday which will be Armistice Day. The crest, in the centre, is the RBL crest with the RIDERS BRANCH rocker underneath. We are the largest branch of the Royal British Legion, with upwards of 6,000 members worldwide, about 4,500 of them in the UK.

Tomorrow, Saturday 26 October, I will be attending the Poppy Appeal launch in the Eastgate Shopping Mall in the city centre.
In the evening I will start a fortnight of manning the stand at TESCO Brockworth, an historic area of the city as it's where Gloster Aircraft Company had it's airfield and factory. It was the site of the first allied jet aircraft flight, the Gloster Whittle E28/39 (see extra). It is now a large business park with many companies, factories and a large Post Office depot.
