James

Tonight I attended a political rally in Wilmington, North Carolina.  After a combined 3 hour line and wait on a perfect balmy southern night, and listening to brief speeches by the mayor, the governor, a local middle school sports coach, and the Vice Presidential candidate, the great James Taylor performed.  

I had never seen James Taylor before in person, so it was a thrill to see and hear this 76 year old version singing his hits.  I have lived in North Carolina for 21 years, and I must admit that even this native New Jersey guy was moved when he sang "Carolina on My Mind", as the audience automatically stood up in unison for this song.
