FEMA truck disaster recovery

FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, has sent many large trucks carrying two debris containers to clear the fallen trees, leaf debris and water damaged household items (storm surge/flooding) from both sides the streets after Hurricane Milton. This photo was taken as they were clearing my mom's street, sooner than we expected. The disaster recovery will continue for 90 days and include what had not been picked up from Hurricane Helene, which was just 2 weeks earlier. Doing this clears the roads for safer passage.

We are so glad to see this is happening and feel things are slowly returning to normal. I'm so grateful my family is safe and our homes were not affected. Trees down, leaf debris and broken fences feel like small challenges to overcome.
