Doing a recce in Bank Gardens
Late this afternoon I went to town as I wanted to see what the conditions were like for recording a few local scenes for a forthcoming project. I want the leaves on trees as much as possible, and wondered how the angle of sunlight affected the view late in the afternoon. Time is running out and clocks are going back soon.
The view is of St Laurence church, part of which was the oldest building in the town, dating from about 1300. Bank Gardens borders the original graveyard and the path leads down to Lansdown, a key street leading to the town centre.
The interior of the church will also be part of the project but is less dependent on daylight, so I'll return to that at another time.
