Battered beauty

We haven't had as extreme weather as some last night and today - though there are still the rumblings of thunder so it may come yet - but the garden has got a good watering and some things are looking a little bedraggled.

I've had a day of ironing, sorting of clothes and other necessary items to be packed, or maybe not. And I'm onto my third book already. I need to pace myself now as I don't want to take up space for next week with a half-read book.
