An unforgettable experience!!

Today our daughter, Johanna, came to our house to work but Ruby and Eric had a cousins birthday party to go to at 11:00. She was going to take her laptop along but we said we would take them.
It was held at a ten pin bowling alley with a large soft-play area, it also has laser tag and Houdini escape rooms as well as many game things to play.
It was all going really well, the children playing in the soft-play area, which has 3 storey's of obstacles, slides, crawling tunnels etc. Until Ruby took my hand and said "Come on Grandad, come in with me, but you have to take your shoes off'!
It's designed for children so you can imagine I had to crawl through the tunnels (one of which Ruby is in for today's blip), across bridges, through two large rollers which were remarkably like a mangle, and felt like it as I squeezed my way through. Even the slide to get down to the ground floor was weird, dark, twisted, and fast!
It was fun though but after a full round of that my shoulders and knees were sore and I had to refuse a second go. Ruby enjoyed going in herself though.
Eric was like an inexhaustible maniac in there, running, jumping, diving through the obstacles. Wish I had his energy, and young joints!
