A wander in the village

After dropping off my gingerbread for the hospice fundraiser I did a few errands and walked home the long way, up through the village, resplendent in autumn colours and sunshine. The poppies are there to draw attention to the British Legion poppy appeal. Remembrance Day of those killed in wars from the end of WW1 till now is 11November, when people wear poppies.

Mr C managed to cancel the new phone contract with ID, (Three). He has spent many many hours trying to get the voice part to work to no avail. Now we need a new contact with another provider, not EE or Three.

We both have had no side effects from our Covid boosters of 2 days ago. A sore arm is a small price to pay.

I have finished Cuddy, one of the best books I’ve read this year, and one which will stay with me.
