Rain!

Some quite heavy rain fell here around lunchtime today, bringing to an end the recent spell of warm, dry, sunny weather.

As I was driving into Inverurie for a meeting this afternoon, I noticed that for some reason, the puddles that had formed on the road were covered in bubbles. Can anyone explain this phenomenon?
