Clay Club
During lockdown, a local artist, who had a large supply of London clay for a project that could no longer happen, started Covid Clay Club.
She provided lumps of clay to be taken away and made into things, then fired them and returned the final pieces. It was all done remotely, clay and works were left on the garden steps to maintain social distancing.
Here is a Christmas decoration I made. It was really fun and I'm very grateful to Alison for her generosity in providing the materials and facilities to make it happen.
Some of the creations were later displayed in Southwark Cathedral.
