On the way home

It's been a lovely day and a busy one.  More post-holiday jobs, including putting 'Matilda' to bed for the next few months, which includes more washing of bedding etc, but which should dry nicely today.  Then, at home, there was a flurry of activity with the hoover, the polish, the duster, the iron and a deep clean of the bathroom.  Satisfying but exhausting.

Must try to stay awake this evening when we're out for supper with friends.  Stories of their current adventures sailing on a yacht with their friends and being stuck in Alderney and then Guernsey during one of the recent storms will probably help! and  about which I'll tell you tomorrow.
