And could you blame them? The storms that we were promised didn't materialise and it's still very dry and humid so not surprising that the cows that roam the heath behind my garden were making use of what water is left in the natural pond over there. Only a few months ago it was full to overflowing and I dare say in another few months will be again. Unless, of course, it's frozen solid!
