Haworth St

A project I've been working on for the Civic Arts Centre had it's exhibition launch today. I displayed 16 photographs, and shared the space with artist Cath Ford. We both worked with a single street in Oswaldtwistle, as part of a wider project for 'Doorstep Arts', funded by the Health Lottery.

Cath worked with Milton St to explore ideas of 'home', decorate mugs, and make tiny houses... and ran a fridge magnet making workshop at the event. I worked on Haworth St, knocking on doors and chatting to the residents, asking them if I could take their photo.

Lots of the people I photographed came to the event which was brilliant, and made all the work feel more worth while! Lots more photos here
