Busker in Wells High street - I was fascinated by his collectings on the pavement - he had spent many hours rubbing rocks on the pavement, to polish them he said, with a pentangle inside the circle he had created, a chalk drawing nearby, and cutlery and other objects cushioned on a folded coat - including an onion. Most surrealistic, and quite bizarre. He was telling me that he had been on the street a couple of weeks, having had an accident, running smack into a car door on his bicycle, that someone unexpectedly opened, then having his social security stopped. His name is Matai, and he was telling me that he was in the process of setting up a foundation for children, using AI, to create the Matai Foundation, to help young people become eco warriors. Fascinating!
