ANOTHER SHEPHERDS' WARNING

...although I don't think the shepherds could have been in Hartlepool as we had a reasonably mild dry day today.

I phoned my GP surgery this afternoon to ask to see a GP for a referral to have another steroid injection in my knee. My own GP who did it last year has just retired early at short notice after being ill for a while, I think, and none of the others does the injections. The receptionist told me I could self-refer to the musculo-skeletal department at the hospital and gave me the link to do it, so I've just done that and now wait to see how long it will be before I get an appointment. Anyway, it'll be two weeks quicker than if I'd had to wait for a GP referral and one GP appointment available for someone else. Much more sensible.
