Still hedging my bets!

I’ve turned the corner and am doing the next bit, but have taken advice from a friend who says that her dad used to cut the back one year and the front the next. 
So we’re doing the tops and the back. That way we can also cut and kill off all the brambles which have wound their way all the way through the hedge.
It’s exhausting though, and Mr F’s back is niggling, so we gave up early and opened our last bottle of white.
