the wild bunch

And here are the tree lads who took about 20 feet of height off a row of 6 leylandii trees, took the top off a Fraser pine that had sadly died but left it 6 feet tall so that I could grow a clematis up it, and cleared 6 huge piles of branches that we’d cut off other trees ourselves over the summer. They also cut three quarters off the big old pear tree on the right of this picture. We gave them tea, coffee, and choccy biscuits before they started, and just before this picture was taken I’d made them all a hot bacon cob each. They had a good morning and did a great job. All finished by 11.45.
