Looking smart

A dull day - very little sunshine. We had a great guy in to look at our wood-burning stove. It is about 15 years old and there are many issues with it. He could have fixed it up, but I think we have decided to look at replacing it with a new one. We will go and look at them in the shop in Penrith tomorrow. We learnt so much from him about stoves and chimneys, I wish we had known these things earlier.

And meanwhile I have been watching the birds in the garden. It is good to see some that we haven't seen for a while, such as a Nuthatch. And our regulars, like this Great Tit, are looking very smart in new plumages.
