It was time to take down the mini meadow today.  I'm afraid this is not a very interesting blip but it is for my mini meadow records.  The plants had all pretty much died back and the seedheads emptied so it was time to chop down the stalks, strim and mow.  Since I came indoors, the squirrels have been chasing each other across the patch and nibbling at bits and pieces.  As long as they don't find the spring bulbs Tony planted.  Next job is to weed the cracks in the patio and put new mortar in.

This morning I was off to the train station early.  All the trains were delayed due to 'slippery rails', that would be leaves on the line then?! I took an earlier train to my recorder lesson to avoid possibly being late and really enjoyed playing one piece I have been working on for a while, one I have just begun and a brand new piece, all parts of a Handel Sonata.  My arthritic fingers struggle a bit with the speed of the Allegro but I'm getting there.  At one point my little finger just fixed in one place, the joys of getting older.

Back in Bingley I popped in to the Coop where they were having issues with the Internet and the poor woman on the till (it looked like she was the only person in the store, no wonder the meat has security tags on it!!) was in a bit of a flap.  I was hoping she hadn't had too much grief from customers.  She could only process cash and luckily I had a note in my wallet so I was saved from putting my items back on the shelves.  I got her to breathe slowly and tried to make jolly about the problem.  I hope it came on again soon.  Next stop was Hedgehog Organics to stock up on soap and then it was home for a welcome cuppa.
