Feeding time for the finches

I needed to top up the feeder that hangs under the tree, earlier on today. Unfortunately it seems that one of the perches has been fractured and is in the process of breaking.  It's the one in the right in the image. I've checked and it seems that the people that make this particular feeder have changed their design, and the pegs are now metal hoops - so I'm clearly not the only person who has had this problem.  

The goldfinch is complaining in the background, because he's just been knocked off the perch by one of the greenfinches.
