Trees in Perspective…

…an on-line workshop by architect and urban sketcher Stephanie Bower. “Trees as umbrellas, not lollipops,”  she said, demonstrating shapes and shadows, line quality and relative sizes. What an excellent teacher she is! In less than half an hour she guided us through the above scene, and explained the reason for every stroke. No fooling around here, just clear concise commentary. I am happier with my drawing than with the color part, I was going pretty fast to try and keep up. My intention is to try it again and take more time mixing colors, maybe even try it outdoors with real trees.
