Another casualty of Ashley
It has been quite a pleasant day with a few early showers giving way to sunshine, good enough to hang out the washing. I spent an hour or so head first in the chest freezer, emptying its contents into baskets then defrosting it. As I returned everything, I made a list of what is there and hopefully that will help me with meal planning. We definitely didn’t use enough of our fruity produce last winter so I’ve decided to put the excess to good use and have a go at making some jam. I don’t know when that will happen, probably on a wet winter’s day.
Bertie and I came across this uprooted hazel tree on our afternoon walk. It has taken the edge of the bank of the stream with it so Nick will have to do a repair before we get a deluge of rain.
