Birds And Dragons
Lovely to see the tweety birds showing themselves in the sunshine this morning. A blue tit in a dead tree and a dunnock in an elder.
I spotted a female common darter dragonfly on the discarded old mower the other day but wasn't quick enough to capture her. She was there again today. Imagine my surprise when, as I was taking her picture, a male turned up and perched on the end of my 500mm lens! Dragons have a habit of returning to the same perch so Mish and I stood there for a while watching them coming and going until the sun went in.
I've added a characterful moth on a field maple to extras. I saw what could be the same individual yesterday and spent ages trying unsuccessfully to identify it.
