20 years and counting..

For more than 20 years this project has sat in a bag waiting to be finished.  I had joined a one day workshop to make the Trip around the World quilt in machine stitching. My children then were still at Primary School and I guess time was not on my side then procrastination kicked in!!  I know I am not the only one to do this but .. after all this time my daughter has encouraged me to complete it and between us we have done it over the past day and a half.. to say I am feeling chuffed tonight is an understatement!!!  I do still need to make a border for it and find a backing material but then I am going to send it somewhere to get it machine quilted.
It has been a lovely day weatherwise and the boiler has been serviced so that is all good. 
Sadly the cleaner has given up.. tennis elbow.. that's a disappointment but will just have to knuckle down myself and keep the house in order.. sigh (some people are better at it than me)
