Aftermath of Ashley

The swing seat, which is solid wood, was raised up on the little pavers - this to try to ensure the feet don't sit in water, and hence delay any rotting.  After Ashley had blown through yesterday, as you can see, the entire seat has been shifted some 40cm eastwards.  Unsurprisingly, the rest of the patio furniture was also tipped - the table had ended up upside down on the grass.

Oddly, the grass and patio were amazingly clear of leaves - the gales seem to have blown them all under the hedge, out of the way.

We spent the day working on the polytunnel - see extra.  The ends are now covered.

Second extra - the strawberries are still valiantly trying to fruit.
