Watching ice melt

I didn't think they'd even notice I'd tossed an ice cube into their water, but they did. They watched it melt, then took off. 

Today is Day 1 back into humanity; I got the flu weekend before last and spent a week in bed feeling awful. Lots of lost time with my daughter and cats, as well as lost productivity and money at work. Grateful though to be emerging from the abyss and back into the predictably mundane.
