Hopetown

A visit to the newly opened Hopetown Museum. It all relates to the Darlington to Stockton railway. The first passenger railway in the world. Naturally we all learnt about it in school growing up here. I assumed therefore that it was common knowledge to all children across the UK. I was very confused when I got to uni that this wasn’t the case.

It’s a fantastic museum with loads of interactive things for kids of all ages. The whole thing is entirely free. We did pay £3.50 for Kara to do the play park but it must be one of the best play parks I’ve ever seen. So much to explore and do.
