Loving the light
After yesterday's dark, wild weather, it was lovely to have a day of calm, sunshine . . . and light.
I took the opportunity to work in the light and followed a workshop I have had on hold for a while. It involved using pressed leaves and grasses that I had gathered last week. Then creating mono prints with printing inks. I found I had the printing sheets and rollers etc. from way back.
It took a bit of experimenting to get the right surface of ink, but on the left is the final piece that I am happy with. I think it has turned out well.
I am not as happy with the drawing (on the right) with charcoal pencil that we were encouraged to do. But then I do not like drawing anyway. I think I will stick to printing.
