Redshank

A few days ago I mentioned I might go to Lymington for my walk today.  The weather map kept changing, so in the end it was a very last minute decision, but although the sun was limited I really enjoyed being there and catching up - among other things - with this rather charming redshank lurking behind the scrub and seedheads that fringe the otherwise inaccessible bird sanctuary.  It was definitely a game of hide-and-seek we were playing but I was pleased with this shot in the end.

Before all this, I had also been into town for a couple of things, so it has seemed quite a busy day.  My flu and covid injections do seem to be calming down thank goodness, but I may owe some apologies for any shortfall in comments yesterday, when they were really still pretty sore - so sorry if you're one of the people I missed ;(
